Another night and another win for the Raiders basketball teams last night in Mackinaw as they swept a pair of road games from Dee-Mack on Thursday night!
The 7th grade Raiders played their most complete game of the year, topping the Warriors 41 - 11. The Raiders defense, which has become a trademark of the team, was suffocating all night, never allowing more than 4 points in any one quarter of play. The 8th grade game brought another win, but this one with quite a bit more dramatics. The Raiders had an early grasp on the game, leading 20 - 8 at halftime. But Dee - Mack put together a big charge in the second half to take the lead late. However, with 2 minutes and 30 seconds left in the game the Raiders got a great pass from Zayne Arthalony to Blake Molitor for the bucket and the foul, and the Raiders used that momentum to propel themselves to a big 40 - 36 victory for their 11th win on the year! Molitor had a huge game for Midwest Central, finishing with a game high 17 points and 7 rebounds. Zayne Arthalony added 10 points and 4 assists, with none bigger than the one to Molitor to retake the lead late and Max Dierker also had a nice game for the Raiders, adding 7 points and 6 boards as well as 1 steal!
