
MCMS staff were up to some shenanigans the last couple of weeks! The staff participated in Undercover Spirit Days on random days to see if the students would notice, it didn't take long!

Raiders - We have exciting news... The Raider Closet is hosting their 2nd annual community luncheon!!! And what a bonus to have a youth athletes and coaches there to help!
We look forward to this event and feel honored to be hosting it at the Hill-Palmer American Legion!!! Mark your calendars!!


The Raiders basketball teams ended their home slate of games this year just as they started it in the Tip Off Classic…with two more wins, this time versus Athens!
The Raiders used hot shooting to take down Athens, and the 7th grade boys overcame a 4th quarter deficit to squeak out a 34-31 win. Jase Canada had a huge fourth quarter, ending the game with 20 points (including 5-7 from downtown), 5 rebounds and 6 steals. The Raiders also got a huge game from Remi Arthalony, who added 10 points and a pair of assists, rebounds and steals to help keep their undefeated season alive at 15-0!
The 8th grade game didn’t have quite as much drama as the Raiders coasted to a 38-19 win. 9 different Raiders hit the scoring column, led by Joe Proehl’s 8 points and 9 rebounds. Noah Coffey, Colton Watts and Jake Hunter all finished with 6 points for the now 15-1 Raiders!

The junior high boys basketball team continued their winning ways on Tuesday night with a sweep of Chester East Lincoln!
Jase Canada had 22 points as the 7th graders cruised to a 38-17 victory. Jaxton Bolen added 6 points and Sam Dierker chipped in 3 points as the 7th grade continued their undefeated season!
The 8th graders got the sweep in dramatic fashion with a 35-34 victory! Trailing by 6 at half, the Raiders showed their heart of a champion and cut the lead to 1 going into the fourth quarter, when Canada hit a huge three on an assist from Joe Proehl to secure the victory for Midwest Central!
Proehl finished the night with 13 points, including a clutch 7-7 from the free throw line to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Jase Canada also added 10 points including the big three pointer and Evan Schmidt had another big day on the glass with 7 rebounds to go along with 4 points!
With the wins, the 7th graders move to 13-0 and the 8th grade moves to 13-1 as they host Dee Mack on Thursday beginning at 5:30!


Let's get festive! Dress Up Week will be the week before Christmas Break (December 16-20th).

It was business as usual for the Raiders basketball teams Thursday night as the boys rolled to two victories at Peoria Norwood!
The 7th graders kept their undefeated season going with a 49-14 victory! Jase Canada (12 points) and Jaxton Bolen (10 points) led the charge with both players scoring in double figures. Easton Rogers and Carson Campbell also added multiple buckets for the now 13-0 Raiders!
The 8th graders moved to 12-1 with another solid performance as they stormed through the Tornadoes 47-17. Joe Proehl stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Jase Canada also added 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals and Evan Schmidt had a solid game with 6 points and 4 boards!
The Raiders look to continue their strong play with a good matchup against Chester East Lincoln at home Tuesday night. Come show out for the Raiders!

Goooooooooo Raiders!


Midwest Central Schools will present their Winter Concert on December 8th at 6:00pm in the HS gym. Bands and choirs from all 3 schools will be performing. Doors will open at 5:30.

The Raiders basketball team stormed into South Pekin and took care of business Monday night, taking both games against the Tornadoes!
The 7th graders remained undefeated with a 72-5 victory. 12 Raiders hit the scoring column in the team effort, with Remi Arthalony leading the charge with 13 points. Jaxton Bolen chipped in 9 points and Evan Kolves and Grayson Piro both added 8 points. Ethan Brotherton also contributed 7 points!
The eighth grade also handled the Tornadoes with ease with a 49-18 victory! Jase Canada and Jake Hunter led the scoring charge with 11 and 9 points and Joe Proehl stuffed the start sheet with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals! Noah Coffey also had a nice game with 8 points, 2 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals!
The boys look to keep things going tonight with a matchup against VIT beginning at 5:30!

LAST CALL... We still have 6 families (3 families of 4 and 3 families of 3) available to shop for... and pick up day for our Snow Buddies is just over a week away!! If you can help this holiday season, please consider dropping by to pick up a tag for a local family or drop off a monetary donation for one of our elves to shop for a local family.
Remember, you can also drop off gently used items for families to shop from on pick up day!


The middle school boys basketball team stayed hot on a chilly night, sweeping Farmington in two dominating victories!
The 7th graders remained undefeated, topping the Farmers 33-21. Jaxton Bolen and Jase Canada led the charge for the Raiders, with Bolen scoring a team high 10 points and Canada adding 9 of his own. Sam Dierker and Aden Bell both added 4 points in the winning cause!
The 8th graders kept their strong play up as well with a dominating 49-23 performance! Joe Proehl was an efficient high scorer for the Raiders, scoring a team high 18 points on just 9 shots. Jake Hunter also has a nice game for the Raiders with 11 points. The Raiders were also lights out from the free throw line, going an impressive 12 of 15 from the line.
The Raiders look to keep their strong seasons going with a matchup with South Pekin tonight!
