The Raiders basketball program capped off a memorable middle school season with two more victories against conference rival Illini Bluffs!
The 7th graders got coveted win #20 with a score of 38-10 thwarting of the Tigers. Jase Canada (12 points) and Jaxton Bolen (10 points) led the offensive charge with each finishing in double figures. 6 other Raiders added points to the scoring column and the Raiders defense was strong, never allowing more than 4 points in any given quarter!
The 8th graders picked up where the 7th graders left off, cruising to a 42-26 win for their 19th victory on the season! Joe Proehl and Noah Coffey both finished with 9 points and 2 rebounds. Breckin Guy also added 6 points and Evan Schmidt had another good day on the glass, picking up a team high 4 rebounds.
With the wins, the 7th graders finished their regular season with a 20-3 record and the 8th graders finished with a record of 19-4. The top seeded 7th graders open their postseason run with a regional matchup this Saturday morning at Springfield Blessed Sacrament at 9:00 AM!


The volleyball teams had a long night of volleyball last night! Both the seventh and eighth grade teams went three sets with Delavan. Both games were tightly contested. The seventh graders dropped their final set while the eighth graders won their final set! Julia Rasmussen delivered three aces in a row to give the Raiders the win!
The seventh graders are headed to Edinburgh tomorrow for a tournament, while the sixth graders are headed to Delavan. Good luck, ladies!


On Tuesday, January 29, the following items will be replaced at all three buildings - instead of having chicken patties/spicy patties, we will be having the chicken (tenders) and waffles.

The 8th volleyball team had a great showing in the Edinburg tournament this weekend. The girls played really well and won 2 matches before losing to the host school.
Come support both teams tomorrow as they take on Delavan at 5:30. A B match will precede the games starting at 4:45.

The Raiders basketball teams had another successful night on the court, sweeping the Tremont Turks at home on Thursday night!
The 7th graders came out on top in a hotly contested game from start to finish, clipping the Turks 38-33. Jase Canada and Jaxton Bolen led the charge offensively for the Raiders to pick up their 19th win, scoring a combined 29 points with Canada dropping 15 points and Bolen 14 points. Sam Dierker also added 3 points going 3 of 4 from the line.
In 8th grade action the Raiders clamped down defensively in the second half, allowing a combined 3 points as they cruised to a 35-14 victory to pick up their 18th win of the season! The Raider bigs showed out Thursday night, with Breckin Guy and Evan Schmidt both scoring a team leading 8 points and cleaning up on the boards all night. Jase Canada and Joe Proehl also both added 7 points!
The Raiders look to continue their strong seasons as they hit the road for a tough matchup against Olympia on Friday night!


Both the 7th and 8th grade teams were victorious over Havana in volleyball last night. All around solid game play led the Raiders to defeat the Ducks in two straight sets! #MCRaiderNationProud

The Raiders had another strong showing Tuesday night with a sweep of PORTA!
The 7th graders took care of business, picking up their 18th win of the season with a 32-23 win. Jase Canada and Jaxton Bolen led the charge offensively, with Canada pouring in 12 points and Bolen adding 11. Sam Dierker also added a couple buckets to go with his 4 rebounds!
8th grade night ended as most nights have for this group of boys, with a convincing 35-22 win to move them to 17-3 on the season! Joe Proehl had a huge game for the Raiders, stuffing the stat sheet with 18 points, 4 rebounds and a pair of assists and steals and Jake Hunter finished with 5 points and a pair of rebounds and steals. Evan Schmidt had another big game on the boards, grabbing 4 rebounds and Noah Coffey also had a big game on the boards with 8, including 5 big offensive boards.
The boys look to keep their strong seasons going with a big home matchup against Tremont on Thursday. Come out and see the boys at home one last time!


There is a Scholastic Bowl open gym tomorrow 1/16 at 3:00 PM.
