We are so grateful that our local Rotary chapter, Manito-Forest City 6460, was able to fund 5 interact members to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy in Lake Williamson this past weekend.
Interact Clubs are service clubs for young people aged 12-18, sponsored by local Rotary clubs, that aim to empower students to take action in their communities, develop leadership skills, and foster international understanding. What is Rotary? Rotary Clubs are global service organizations focused on promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, supporting education, and growing local economies. They achieve this through local and international service projects, community engagement, and fostering goodwill.
These Raiders were able to interact with students from all over west central Illinois to learn more about Rotary.
THANK YOU Manito-Forest City 6460!!

Midwest Central Raiders Top Christian Life Academy 15–9 in Saturday Slugfest
The Midwest Central Raiders brought the heat Saturday, taking down Christian Life Academy 15–9 in a high-energy matchup that showcased the team’s offensive firepower and depth on the mound.
The Raiders scored in five of six innings, keeping constant pressure on their opponent and racking up seven stolen bases in the process.
The Raiders upperclassmen came up big. Collin Price reached base four times. Dalton Johnson went 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Rex Watts delivered a clutch 3-for-5 day that also included two doubles. Six different Raiders notched RBIs in the balanced attack.
On the mound, Johnson picked up the win, tossing five innings with five strikeouts and just one walk. Watts closed it out, earning the save with two solid innings and a pair of strikeouts.
It was a full-team effort and a statement win for the Raiders as they continue to build momentum this season.

Lady Raiders put up a win last night, taking victory at home against the New Berlin Pretzels with a final score of 6-2. Lexi Wood earned the win for the Raiders, pitching 7 innings in the circle with Emma Junkin staying strong behind the plate. Junkin was clutch at the plate with 2 RBIs, alongside Grace Meeks and Mia Warner collecting an RBI each. Lady Raiders defense didn't commit a single error throughout the game, and Ava Warner made the most plays with eight. Meeks had a team high of 3 hits, and Addison Friedrich had a pivotal throw out at home from centerfield. It was a team effort. Great job Raiders, and we look forward to an away game against Williamsville on Thursday!

We are #MCRaiderNationProud! Menard Electric grants one scholarship applicant an all expense paid pass on the Youth to Washington Tour.... and this Raider right here is the lucky recipient! The tour will be June 16-23, 2025.
On the Youth to Washington Tour more than 60 students from Illinois travel together to spend a week in Washington, D.C. and meet Illinois Congressmen, Senators and their staffs, tour historical sites, receive information on career paths, learn about co-ops, make lifelong friends, and meet students from across the U.S. It is truly a remarkable trip sponsored for more than 50 years by U.S. electric and telephone co-ops.
