In Mr. Servis’ Physical Science classes, the students have been building paper egg catchers to slow down the acceleration of a falling egg to keep them from breaking. To make things more interesting, the students were tasked to build their devices with only tape and paper, then needed to drop an egg from various heights, with the last height being from the top of the high school gym. This engineering investigation is part of the Laws of Motion unit.

Wishing all of Raider Nation a frightfully fun and safe Halloween weekend!

History League had a private tour of the Pettengill-Morron Mansion Museum in Peoria this weekend for their fall field trip! Students got to hear the history of the house, as well as firsthand accounts from the staff of spooky happenings in the mansion! They loved getting to see the attic (usually closed to visitors), the gift shop of vintage items, and the servants' quarters.

Raiders - Next week, October 27th-31st is Red Ribbon Week. We will have the following dress up days along with activities during the lunch periods. Be sure to participate and show your support for our Drug and Alcohol Abuse Awareness campaign.
