The Raiders JV team harvested the Farmington Farmers on their Homecoming night with a 58-49 victory! JJ Proehl and Brenden Carton were on fire from downtown, with Proehl finishing the night with 18 points (including 4 3 pointers) and 5 boards and Carton finishing the night with 12 points on an efficient 4 of 5 from the 3 point line. With the win the Raiders JV improve their record to 10-4!
In the varsity game, Josh Dawe scored 10 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Raiders went down fighting 58-41.
Be sure to come out on Tuesday as the Raiders host the Delavan Panthers in a Tomahawk tussle.

The Lady Raiders got a comeback win last night at Stark County!!
The Rebels took a 41 to 35 lead with 1:52 left in the game. From that point forward Stark County didn't score again, and our Lady Raiders pushed in front with a 44 to 41 win.
The comeback happened with an Amelia Meeker 3-pointer with 1:33 left on the clock (41-38). The Lady Raiders got a stop, as Maddie Sidwell drew a foul on an out of bounds play and made a FT, now the Lady Raiders were only down by 2. After another stop by the Lady Raiders, Cally DeSutter drove to the basket and kicked the ball out to Amelia who knocked down another 3 with 26.8 left on the clock to take the lead 42 to 41! After another stop, Cally DeSutter made 2 Free Throws for the final point total.
On the night Eliza Kerley led us in scoring with 14. Amelia has 12. Cally DeSutter had 6 points and a team high 6 assists. Carly DeSutter and Maddie Sidwell each put in 5. Emma Junkin finished a pivoting move in the lane for her 2 points. Eliza had 8 rebounds and Maddie with 7. Maddie 3 blocked shots and Carly 2. Eliza had 6 steals, Cally 4 and Maddie 3, helping the Lady Raiders cause 31 Rebel turnovers!

The Raiders basketball teams played two very different types of games, but came away with the same result, picking up a pair of wins with the JV winning easily and the V winning on a clutch shot late against North Fulton Tuesday night!
In JV action, the Raiders put 10 players in the scoring column and jumped out to a 46-10 lead at halftime and cruised to a 64-35 victory over the Wildcats improving their record to 9-4. Ryan Terrill had 11 points in the first quarter, and Cade Brotherton had a nice game with 9 points.
The varsity game was a great one, with the Raiders surging out to a 12-2 lead before North Fulton clawed their way back into the game, with the rest of the game nip and tuck before a clutch three pointer by Brenden Carton with 2.4 seconds left put the Raiders up 50-48 for the first time since the first quarter and a Zayne Arthalony steal sealed the game!
Josh Dawe steered the ship for the Raiders with 19 points and 5 assists and Carton finished with 18 points coming on 6 made shots from deep.
The Raiders look to keep the momentum going with their homecoming game against the Farmington Farmers on Friday night!

Marlie Abner will entering as the first girl to represent Midwest Central/Illini Central at IHSA Girls Regionals! She has earned the 2nd seed in her bracket.
Wrestling begins at 9:30 in the Bruner Center at Illinois College in Jacksonville on Saturday 2/1/25.
Some Raiders had a fun opportunity today - art therapy at our local coffee shop, Roasted.
The goal of our trip was to connect with others, engage in a therapeutic activity, and most importantly, laugh!!!
As the students sipped on their coffee, they shared with others the vision behind their painting. It was beautiful to see new friendships formed. At the end we celebrated each student and their painting.
Art Therapy is an excellent way to begin discussions on emotions, decrease anxiety, enhance social skills, and build confidence! It was a great day to be a Raider!

The Lady Raiders got an overtime win last night over the ROWVA/Williamsfield Wildcats, 52 to 46. Cally DeSutter had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Eliza Kerley and Carly DeSutter both had 9 points. Carly had 11 rebounds as well. Maddie Sidwell had 3 offensive rebounds. Amelia Meeker made 2 3's. Eliza had a game high 6 steals. Emma 4 rebounds and a steal. Mia Warner hit a 2 in the 4th quarter to help spur on the comeback win.
