Ms. Schleder and Mrs. Kerley took five students to the 2nd Annual Career Summit at Illinois Central College on Thursday, March 16. Students started the day with a panel of professionals based on whether they are headed "straight to work" or to "college/training/trade school" after high school. After the opening class, students attended two workshops, ate lunch, and then were able to participate in some hands-on activities such as practice interviews, the application process, and building a resume. They also met with a variety of employees from local businesses during the Career Fair. It was a great experience for our students, and we look forward to attending this every year!

MCHS Cheer tryouts are this week! What a great turnout for the first night! Our next workshop is tonight from 6:00-7:30 PM at the PS gym!

Not only did we provide healthy snack packs to some of our students, our Raider Café crew was provided another opportunity to learn more job related skills. We are a part of a supportive community, and we wanted to extend our gratitude to the Forest City-Manito Rotary Club was seeing our vision and allowing it to come to life. Raider Nation!!!!
