Mrs. DeSutter's Chemistry students are celebrating Mole Day this week by making moles. Mole Day is a celebration of the mole, a scientific unit, used to measure gases (which are so tiny that they fill up small areas so we need a special way to measure them). Students are going outside their comfort zone this week and learning to cut material from a pattern and sew the material by hand and sew on buttons!

Mrs. DeSutter's Environmental Science class is learning about invasive species and their impact on the other native species in different habitats. The students played the Invasive Species Game. Native species are different fish and can only eat their specific food by using a 1 spoon, 1 fork, 2 knives, or 2 forks. An invasive species is introduced to the habitat and can eat all food by using a binder clip. Guess which organisms went extinct and which took over the habitat?
