On Friday, Karsyn Skaggs signed her letter of intent to continue her education and athletics at Spoon River College. The Snappers are lucky to get the caliber of student athlete that Karsyn possesses. The Raider Nation wishes Karsyn good luck in her future.

Midwest Central schools will be having their Winter Concert on Sunday, December 10th at 6:00. The HS Band, HS Choir, MS Band, MS Choir, and 5th Grade Band will be performing. The doors will open at 5:45.

The Raiders were in Petersburg to take on top level teams Porta, Tremont, and Warrensburg.
Payne (132) secured his first varsity career win (by forfeit).
Rasmussen (126) also secured his first varsity career win (by forfeit)
Vonderheide (157) added 2 more pins to his collection pinning one opponent in the second period (3:24) and the other in the first period (1:21).
Merrill (190) shocked the crowd and the bench exploded pinning his tough opponent in the second period (3:01)!
The coaching staff are very proud of the improvements this young team is making. “Each time we step on the mat we look even better than the last time. The hard work and dedication this young team is putting in is starting to pay off. We may not have all the wins (right now) but it’s coming!” -Coach Augi

The Sock Drive sponsored by National Honor Society was a HUGE success! THANK YOU to all students, staff, and community members who participated. 1,950 pairs of socks were collected and will be donated to Snow Buddies!
The results of the class competition are as follows:
4th Place: Sophomores with 141 pairs of socks
3rd Place: Juniors with 465 pairs of socks
2nd Place: Seniors with 496 pairs of socks
1st Place: Freshmen with 848 pairs of socks

Mrs. DeSutter's Physics class is applying Newton's 3 laws with the Newton's Car Experiment. Students are figuring out how to make a wooden car accelerate by a force from rubber bands on a mass! F=ma
So much analysis, trial/error and fun!!!
