
The Raiders basketball team moved to 3-0 on the season, using a 20-0 run in the first quarter to cruise to a 38-17 victory over Delavan and captured their second consecutive 7th grade Tip Off Classic championship! Remi Arthalony led the offensive charge for the Raiders scoring 13 points and Jase Canada added 10 as 8 different Raiders hit the scoring column in the total team championship!
In 8th grade action the Raiders battled hard and got a huge game out of Jake Hunter, who had 12 points on 4-7 shooting from 3, but ultimately fell short in the Sectional Championship rematch, dropping the Tip Off title to Decatur Catholic 29-24. With the loss the Raiders drop to 2-1 on the young season.
Both teams will host Lewistown tonight night at 5:30 PM as the boys basketball and boys baseball state banners will be unveiled in between games.

The Raiders play today to conclude their Tipoff Classic. 7th grade is scheduled for 11:30, followed by the 8th grade at 12:30.


The Lady Raiders completed the sweep of Chester East Lincoln on Thursday evening in very convincing fashion!
The 7th grade game started out looking to be a tight game as the Raiders only held a 6-4 lead halfway through the first quarter, but these girls kicked it into high gear and scored the next 18 points to blow the game wide open and never look back. Peyton led the Raiders with her season high 17 points, which included a Clark-like 5-7 shooting from three-point land. The Raiders grabbed 36 rebounds with Nora leading the way with 7. Nine additional Raiders contributed to the scoring column that consisted of Kallie with 6; Jaina, Tenley, Kynlie, Lydia & Zoey with 4, Libby with 3, Sophia & Nora with 2. The 7th Graders move to 14-2 on the season with a 50-12 win.
The 8th grade squad welcomed Ayla back for the first time since breaking her finger at Tremont on October 7th. She made the most of her comeback with a team leading 8 steals and converting that into 10 points on the night! The Raiders scored the first 22 points in the game which eventually turned into a 40-2 victory! Kenzie led with 14 points, while Julia pitched in 8, Nora J with 4, Charlie & Peyton each added a field goal. Charlie & Kenzie shared rebounding honors with 9 rebounds each while Nora J sent back 5 shots leading the Raiders in blocks.


The Raiders basketball teams picked up 2 more wins in their Tip-Off Classic over the Lincoln Trojans on Thursday night!
In 7th grade action the Raiders got 14 points out of Jase Canada and Sam Dierker celebrated his birthday with 6 points of his own as the Raiders cruised to a 30-20 victory. Remi Arthalony also added 6 points and the Raiders shot an efficient 9-14 from the free throw line to put the game away.
The 8th graders jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as they cruised to a 26-7 win! Breckin Guy was a monster underneath, scoring 10 points on 5-6 shooting. Evan Schmidt and Noah Coffey also had multiple buckets in the winning cause. The Raiders absolutely dominated the boards on Thursday night as well, outrebounding the Trojans 25-9.
With the wins, the Raiders move to 2-0 at both levels as they both play for their Tip Off Classic championship on Saturday morning! Come out and support the Raiders in their quest for another championship!

The Lady Raiders took care of business at Rankin on Monday evening as the 7th grade improved their record to 13-2 by starting the evening with a 53-17 victory, while the 8th grade followed it up with a 45-16 victory in the nightcap, moving their record to above .500 at 8-7.
Zoey led the 7th grade squad with 12 points on a night where ten Raiders made their presence known in the scoring column. Peyton added 10, Nora had 9, Emma with 5, Kynlie & Lydia with 4, Sophia with a 3-pointer from the left wing, then Kallie, Sage & Faithie pitched in a field goal each. Peyton continued to move the ball around well with 7 assists. Zoey and Peyton shared rebounding honors with 7 each. Rankin primarily had one guard to stop and Tenley never let her out of her sight while shutting her down.
Kenzie led the 8th grade team with 14 points in the blowout win. Leading 7-5 midway through the 1st quarter, the Raiders went on a 12-1 run to pull away and seal the game from there. Charlie added 13 points on an excellent shooting night while four other girls added to the scoring column that consisted of Kallie with 6, Julia & Peyton with 5, and Nora J with 2. Charlie & Nora J each pulled down 5 rebounds to lead the Raiders while Charlie continued her stifling defense with 5 of the team's 12 steals.
The Lady Raiders will travel to Chester East Lincoln on Thursday evening at 5:00 PM!

Meet the Raiders is coming to you on November 15th in the HS gym.. This year the event will be kicked off with a free-will donation spaghetti dinner at 5:00 sponsored by the Booster Club. The Pep Band will begin entertaining us at 5:30. The announcing of the teams will begin at 6:00. This year we have added a few other activities to the evening. We will be having a Biddy Ball Relay, Chuck-the Duck, Pushup Challenge, Half-Court Shot Contest, and a 3-Point Contest.


Reminder - Tomorrow is a 1/2 day for students and NO Preschool classes! Buildings will dismiss as follows: PS - 11:40, MS - 11:20, HS - 11:30


The 8th grade Lady Raiders took home 3rd place in this weekend's Logan County Tournament!
The Raiders had a tough time getting anything going against Mt. Pulaski in game one as the girls fell in the tournament opener 30-15. Julia collected 9 rebounds to go along with her four points. Kenzie added four points, seven rebounds and 3 steals for the Raiders. Peyton added 3, while Nora J and Kallie each had 2.
The Raiders bounced back quickly to make easy work of Chester East Lincoln. These ladies smashed the pedal down and jumped out to a 15-1 lead after the first quarter and never lost control of the game from there. Kenzie led the Raiders with 14 points, and Julia was the thief of the game with 7 steals. The Lady Raiders collected 15 assists on 22 field goals made, Peyton led the team with 5.


The Raiders kicked off their annual Tip Off Classic with a clean sweep of the Hartem Stags with the 7th graders picking up a 39-32 victory and doubling them up in the 8th grade game 49-21 on Saturday morning!
Jase Canada led the Raiders offensive attack in the 7th grade game, pouring in 22 points on a pair of 3 pointers and an efficient 8 of 10 from the free throw line. Sam Dierker and Grayson Piro chipped in 6 points apiece and Jaxton Bolen added 5 points. The Raiders overcame an early defect with good defense down the stretch to secure the wins!
In 8th grade action, Joe Proehl and Evan Schmidt led the offensive charge with Proehl scoring 12 points and Evan Schmidt adding 11. 6 other Raiders added to the offensive attack in the total team effort, including 8 points from Colten Watts and 7 points from Jase Canada, as the Raiders jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back.
With the wins both Raiders’ basketball teams move to 1-0 on the young season with their next game being a home matchup on Thursday against Lincoln!

The 7th grade Lady Raiders faced off with Mt. Pulaski in the title game of the Logan County Tournament on Tuesday evening. The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead to start the game, only to give the Honeybears the next 5 points early in the 1st quarter. Our ladies clawed their way back to take a 10-9 lead after the opening quarter. Peyton spread the lead to four with a 3-pointer from the left wing then Kallie added another four points in the quarter to give the Raiders their largest lead of the night at 5 points going into halftime. Mt. Pulaski came out after halftime with the hot hand to tie the game up at 17, then Peyton drained another 3 from the right wing to take it back. Both teams headed into the final quarter tied at 22. Mt. Pulaski took the lead late in the 4th quarter for the first time since mid-way through the 1st. The Raiders had trouble getting their shots to drop, while a Pulaski guard banked one from the left baseline to seal the victory, 30-27. It was a valiant effort by our girls on a night where things didn't go well, but they still had an opportunity to win the game. Peyton led the Raiders with 10 points, while Kallie added 7, Lydia had 4, Sophia had 3, Kynlie had 2 and Nora pitched in a free throw. These girls have the rest of the week off and will take their 12-2 record to Rankin next Tuesday, November 4th.


Student Council hosted a pumpkin decorating contest. We had 20 pumpkins turned in! They were all amazing and so creative!

The Lady Raiders entered the Panthers den Monday evening and walked away with two very convincing wins! 7th Grade kicked off the night in dominating fashion with a 48-3 victory over Pekin Edison. There were once again eight Raiders in the scoring column with Peyton leading the way with 14 points, 8 steals and 5 assists; while Nora added her season-high 10 points on an excellent 83% shooting from the field. Lydia nearly recorded her first double-double of the season as she knocked down 8 points and led the Raiders with 11 boards on the night! Jaina had her aggressive shoes on last night in the 2nd half as she recorded 6 points & 6 steals to continue making life tough on the Edison point guards. Sage contributed 4 points off the bench while Libby, Kynlie, and Sophia added two. These girls will face off with Mt. Pulaski this evening for the Logan County tournament championship at 7:15 PM. The game will be played at West Lincoln Broadwell elementary school.
THe 8th grade game started out a good one with each team exchanging baskets, as the Lady Raiders jumped out to a slim 12-8 lead after the opening quarter. Coach Fisher lit a fire under them and the girls responded by going on a 16-4 run in the second to take a convincing 28-12 lead into the locker room. The route continued in the 2nd half as our girls outscored the Panthers 20-3 to secure a 48-15 victory Monday evening! Kenzie led the Raiders with 14 points and 9 rebounds while Charlie was once again the opposing team's point guard nightmare with six of the team's 17 steals and the only two blocks of the night. The 8th grade Raiders had their best shooting night of the season, knocking down 50% of the shots they put up as Julia added 12 points on 86% shooting and Charlie also added 12 on 67% shooting. Peyton pitched in 6 points while Nora J rounded out the scoring with 4 points in a much needed victory. These ladies will compete in their Logan County Tournament this Saturday at 12:30 PM against Mt. Pulaski!

The 7th grade Lady Raiders asserted their dominance right off the tip to take a 2-0 lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 53-22 dub in the semi-final matchup of the Logan County Tournament. They scored an impressive 24 points in the opening quarter to take a 24-8 lead on Carroll Catholic thanks in-part to Kallie's 14 points in the first half using some excellent power moves in the post. Peyton moved the ball well collecting six of her eight assists all in the first quarter as the Raiders kept knocking down their open shots. There were a total of eight Raiders that found their way into the scoring column, with Peyton & Kallie leading the way, each with 14 points. Zoey added 8 points, while Nora had 6, Sophia added 4, Tenley added 3, and Lydia & Kynlie each added 2 to clinch the victory. These ladies will face off with Mt. Pulaski on Tuesday evening at 7:15 PM for the tournament championship. The game will take place at West Lincoln Broadwell Elementary school.
