MCMS Raiders Softball advanced to 3-2 in their season after Libby Duwaldt threw a shutout past Ingersoll Little Giants 9-0 on Thursday at home.
Kynlie Hilst collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Kynlie singled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
MCMS Raiders Softball got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Sophia Holeman singled down the right field line, Ingersoll Little Giants committed an error, and Peyton Collins singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
The team accumulated 11 total hits in the game. Kynlie and Peyton Collins each collected three hits. Peyton went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Sophia collected two hits for MCMS Raiders Softball in four at bats. The Raiders turned one double play in the game when Peyton Collins caught a line drive at first and tagged the runner.

Raider Nation – We could use your help. Early this morning at 2:25 AM, 3 males broke into MCHS. They were in the building pilfering items in classrooms and can be seen here with backpacks they stole holding school and employee belongings. One of the backpacks belonged to a contractor doing work at the school. These individuals came through and exited the northeast corner of our back parking lot near Southmoor Ave on foot. They walked throughout the building till around 3:40 AM. They were seen leaving the back lot at 3:41 AM. We’re confident someone in the community knows who these individuals are and can help us solve this crime. If you have any information, please call the district office at 309.968.6868. You may remain anonymous.
