Student Council applications are due today.
The sign-up sheet for Girls Basketball is outside the main office on the bulletin board. You must
have a current physical before the first day of open gym and practice. The dates for open gym
are September 6 and September 8 from 3:00-4:30.
Our Raiders are doing an AWESOME job selling candy bars!!! Yesterday we had 22 kids sell a
box in one night!!! Don’t forget to submit your ten email addresses to family and friends to win
a candy bar and 1 chance in a school drawing for completing this step!!
RAIDERS LOOK GREAT PICKING UP WIN #8!
The Raiders baseball team rode strong pitching and defense to an 7-2 victory over Dee Mack
Thursday night! Trailing 2-1 heading into the 6th inning, the Raiders bat exploded for 3 runs on
a triple by Ryan Terrill followed by a walk by Kam Merrill, a single from Grant Rasmussen and a
big 2 RBI double from Zayne Arthalony. The Raiders then tacked 3 huge insurance runs on in
the 7th on an RBI single from Josh Dawe, an RBI double by Ryan Terrill and another RBI single
from Grant Rasmussen. Zayne Arthalony was the victor on the mound, firing a complete game
scattering 1 hit, 3 walks and whiffing 5 all while allowing no earned runs! The Raiders defense
was also solid all night long behind Arthalony’s strong effort on the mound. On offense the
Raiders pounded out 10 hits with Josh Dawe, Ryan Terrill, and Grant Rasmussen all picking up
2 hits with RBI doubles by Kam Merrill, Dawe, Arthalony and Terrill. The win moves the
Raiders to 8-4 on the season as they await their matchup on Tuesday with Peoria Norwood!
