Don’t forget that all applications for Student Council are due back to Mrs. Dean no later than
this Friday, September 2.

Girls in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade interested in going out for Girls Basketball can do so. The sign-up
sheet is outside the main office on the bulletin board. You must have a current physical before
the first day of open gym and practice. If you don’t know if you have one on file with the school,
please ask Mrs. Hintz. Once the softball season wraps up, we will be announcing when the first
day of open gym will be.

Tomorrow starts off our Fundraising Kick-Off Assembly! We will be selling candy bars.
Permission slips need to be turned in before you can participate. All profits go back into PBIS
awards and other activities. If you have your permission slip, please bring it to the office at this
time.

The softball team defeated Rankin 14-4 yesterday. The girls gathered six runs in the sixth inning
with Grace Meeks, McKenzie Gale, and Julia Rasmussen all having RBIs in the inning. Grace Meeks was the winning pitcher, throwing six innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one. Amelia Meeker led with two hits in four at bats. The B team also defeated Rankin in the second game, 12-4. The softball team will host Lincoln for an A&B game. Game time starts at 4:30. Good luck Lady Raiders!

The Raiders fell to Rankin last night in 7 innings, but Coach Roberts was proud of the way we
bounced back after a tough first inning. It was also of note that Ryan Terrill hit an opposite field
tank for the first over the fence home run of the year for the Raiders. The Raiders look to bounce back tonight vs Broadmoor at Shade Park. Game time is 4:30. Bus leaves at 3:15. Good luck Raiders!
