The Raiders baseball team moved to 3-1 on the season with a 7-6 win over the Brimfield Indians, Friday night. Jase Canada got the offense rolling early with a solo home run in the top of the first and the Raiders never looked back. Aden Bell, Jaxton Bolen, Jase Canada, and Eli Tumilty all picking up 2 hits. Jase Canada picked up the win on the mound. Griffin Tudela finished off the game throwing 2 innings! The Raiders look to keep things going with a home matchup against Chester East Lincoln at 4:15pm!
The Raiders softball team improved their record to 7-3 after two big wins this weekend. MCMS Raiders Softball won big over Havana JH Ducks 11-1 on Friday. Big hits had by Izzy Friedrich, Kallie Herrman, Peyton Collins, Libby Duwaldt and Kynlie Hilst. Libby earned the win pitching for MCMS Raiders Softball. Sophia Holeman collected the save, striking out three and walking one in the final inning. The Raiders defeated Porta 12-0 at home on Saturday, Peyton Collins and Kynlie Hilst collected 3 hits with Hilst laying down a text book bunt. Sophia earned the win for MCMS Raiders Softball. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking none. MCMS Raiders Softball collected 10 hits in the game. The team was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. The Raiders are traveling to Tremont tonight!
