RAIDERS LOOK GREAT IN THE ELITE EIGHT!! The Midwest Central Raiders defeated the Carthage Blueboys in an absolute thriller 1-0 and are heading to the STATE TOURNAMENT! The Raiders struggled to get anything going offensively, until the top of the fourth inning when Breckin Guy sent a 2-0 fastball over the left field fence to give the Raiders their only run of the game. But it was enough. Jase Canada was a dog on the mound, firing a complete game shutout scattering 6 hits and 3 walks to pick up the win. But just like Saturday, he had a lot of help from his fellow teammates. For the second game in a row the Raiders defense was sparkling, committing no errors and making play after play after play to punch their ticket to the State Tournament for the first time since 2013! With the win, the Raiders now sit at 15-5 with a matchup against Beecher at Eastside Center on Friday beginning at noon. ELITE 8 BOUND! You are all a true definition of teamwork and can tell you all have played together since little league. Gentlemen, I don’t think you can comprehend how proud the community and this school is for you all. It is going to be an exciting week!
