The Raiders baseball team is moving on to the regional championship after an 11-3 victory over Illini Bluffs!
Jase Canada dominated the Tiger hitters, tossing 6 innings while striking out 7 and scattering a walk and 3 hits to pick up the win. Joe Proehl came in relief and fired a scoreless inning with 3 Ks to slam the door. The Raiders got a complete team effort at the plate, with 7 different Raiders picking up hits and scoring runs in 5 of their 6 offensive innings! Johnny McFarland was 2-4 with 4 huge RBI and Evan Schmidt, Colton Watts, Breckin Guy and Proehl all added an RBI each! Tyler Byrd was also a strong offensive performer reaching base 3 times! The Raiders move to 13-5 on the season as they host the Regional Championship game on Saturday morning beginning at 11 am. They are hoping for a BIG crowd to help them to a regional title! Come out and support the Raiders!
Good luck to the Cross-Country team, they compete at Illini Central at 4:00pm. They will be dismissed this afternoon at 2:35pm and the bus will pick them up at 2:45 by the gym doors.
Good Luck to the girls’ basketball team as they travel to Norwood for their first basketball game at 4:30 with a regular dismissal time!
