The MS cross country team competed today in Canton.  The Canton course was probably the hardest course they will face this year.  They all ran their best on the challenging 2 mile course today. For the girls division, we had two girls running in their very first cross country meet.  Alice Brackney placed 40th with a time of 23:17. Ruby Wade placed 41st with a time of 24:02. For the boys division, Carson Campbell paced the team with a 19th place finish and a time of 16:56.  Ashton Campbell placed 27th with a time of 19:57.   Noa Stage placed 34th with a time of 23:13.  Liam Tumility, who also was running in his very first cross country meet for us, placed 37th with a time of 24:22.  Tyler Vanderwulp placed 41st with a  time of 25:05.   The team next runs at home on September 10th at 4:00.

Girls Basketball Tryouts are Monday, Sept. 9th 6-8pm

Mrs. Fisher and Mrs. Appell are taking students to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia in June. An information meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 6:00pm.

Cheer packets and Flu Shot Clinic packets are located on Popcorn Board. What is a Popcorn Board, you might ask? You can think of it as an Information Station. Mrs. Byrd and I made a “What’s Poppin’ at MCMS" bulletin board right across from Nurse Niki’s office. This board will hold all the important handouts and information you may need to know. When there are games or special events at the school it’s located in a place your parents can see as well. So, when we say something is on the Popcorn Board you now know where to find it. Make sure to look for it on your way to PE today!
