The Midwest Central Lady Raiders improved their record to 8-3 after they easily dispatched Bloomington Junior High School on Tuesday, 9-1.
Mckenzie tripled, which helped Midwest Central Lady Raiders tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Midwest Central Lady Raiders collected nine hits in the game. Kenzie, Mckenzie, and Nevaeh each collected two hits for the team while Sophia, Ayla, and Julia gathered the other three. Kenzie and Julia were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. The team was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Sophia earned the win for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. The pitcher surrendered six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.
Next up for Midwest Central Lady Raiders is a home game against the Delavan Panthers on Thursday.
The Raiders baseball team moved to 3-1 with a 13-1 victory over South Pekin Tuesday night!
Jake Hunter was sharp on the mound, with the lefty spinning a complete game scattering 2 hits and a walk and striking out 9 batters!
The Raiders pounded out 14 hits, but none were bigger than the two out, two RBI pinch hit double by Kaiden Hill in the top of the fourth inning with the score tied at 1 to put the Raiders ahead for good.
Joe Proehl, Jase Canada, Noah Coffey and Evan Schmidt all collected multiple hits in the game, with Schmidt and Canada collecting extra base hits. Proehl finished with 2 RBIs in the run rule affair.
The Raiders now sit at 3-1 with a matchup on the road at Delavan on Thursday!
Even though the season is young, a few personal bests were ran today on the 2 mile course. No team scores or placing was done for today’s meet. Jaina Butler ran a time of 14:37.92 with a 6:30 first mile, Reid Sidders ran 15:24.46, Carson Campbell ran 15:59.09, Ashton Campbell ran 18:51.66, and Tyler Vanderwulp ran a time of 19:56.69.
