Scholastic Bowl had their second match last night, and boy howdy were they close ones. In the A match both Audrey and Jackson answered two toss ups, but we eventually lost 130 to 170. The match could have easily gone either way. Mr. Bernhardt counts it as a win in his book. In the B match, Leelinn answered three toss ups but the Raiders were just short losing 60 to 100. The next match is at home against Georgetowne this Tuesday!
Last night the Lady Raiders had an exciting night of volleyball. They split the evening with Pekin Edison. The 7th grade lost 10-25 and 20-25. The 8th grade won 21-25, 25-17, 25-15. The 7th Grade Volleyball team will compete tomorrow in the regional tournament. They will play at 11:30 against Illini Central. The game will take place at Bartonville Monroe. Good luck Lady Raiders.
Beginning Monday, Beta Club will be hosting a coin war during lunch. The staff member that has the most points will get turned into a human ice cream sundae with all of your favorite ice cream toppings dumped on their heads! Bring in your spare change to lunch and add it to the jugs for a little friendly competition! Remember pennies and paper money are positive points, and silver coins are negative.
